To provide young with an excellent holiday, we need great helpers! There are many areas on camp where people like you can help, just let us know what your skills and interests are and we will find a place for you!
You have to be a committed Christian and 17 or over, but there is no upper age limit and we encourage people with a variety of experiences to get involved.
If you are 18 or older then you can be a tent leader working directly with the young people on Warriors. If you are over 20 then you can be a Teen camp tent leader.
If you are aged 17 or above then you can come to camp and help with the catering as part of our experienced team.
There are also a variety of roles on offer, such as; maintenance, craft, security, cleaning, worship leading, helping young people with the Bible, sewing, administration, leading sports and games, life guarding, first aid and generally being there for the young people. Some of these roles are done by all team members and some need filling by dedicated people.
We also need people to help put up and pack down the camps. Prep week and rear guard is hard work but great fun. If you could spare a few days to help put the sites together, please get in touch with the office.
Special skills needed
We are currently looking for qualified lifeguards, if that is you then please tell us!
Being a leader
Leaders can come for one, two or three weeks. It is also possible to spend a week helping on each camp, or come along for a few days to do specific jobs where appropriate to the camp programme.
Being a leader or a helper is more than just a summer pastime, it is a real opportunity to serve God and to get involved with the lives of young people in a positive, spiritual and transforming way.
Being a leader or helper on either camp could count towards Duke of Edinburgh awards, university placements, leadership experience and more. It is also the most fun you can ever have when working in a field!
Leaders are given full training both on camp and at dedicated training sessions held near Manchester and London. There are also opportunities throughout the year to meet up with other leaders for fellowship, fun and prayer, as well as to give feedback about your experiences of camp.
If you would like any more information or to have a chat about getting involved, please contact the office.
