Kite-Tastic!
Lets go fly a kite, up to the highest hight…with your very own WEC Camps endorsed kite!
- One bin bag
- Some chop sticks, strong straws or similar
- Sticky tape
- light string/thread
Method…
- Cut the bin bag into the shape in the picture
- Attach the chop sticks/straws where shown
- Cut out the two vent holes (not too big!)
- Cut two lengths of string – about 1 meter long
- Attached them to the String 1 and String 2 position
- Tie the other ends together, and attach to a long length of string
- Go fly your kite!
Tip: Try different sizes, weights of string and straws/chop sticks until you find the combination that works best for you!

Sand Shapes!
Re-live those Isle of Wight days, or simply make an awesome pattern to show the world your awesome skills!
- Clear glass jar or plastic pot
- Coloured sand OR salt and power paints
Method…
- Pour different coloured sand into the container to make layers
- If using salt and power paint, mix a little of your chosen colour paint with the salt – this will transform it into coloured sand!
- By tilting/stirring the sand, you can make a variety of patterns and layers

Bird Feeder
Get back to nature by providing tasty treats for your flying friends!
Needed…
- Pringles Tube (or similar)
- Small plastic or metal container (butter tub, sardine can, etc)
- Crafty bits
Method…
- Paint or decorate your pringles tube
- Cut out one side of the bottom of the tube (see pic)
- Stand tube over container
- Fill container with nuts/bird feed/yummy goodness
- You can top up the container using the tube lid!
- Leave outside on a table!

Windy? bored of your kite? you need a pin wheel windmill!
Needed…
Method…
- Draw and cut out a square of card – about 15cm sides
- Using a ruler, drawer a diagonal line from corner to corner
- Decorate your windmill!
- Cut these line, towards the center (but not all the way – see pic)
- Fold one edge of each triangle towards the center and secure with pin

- Push end on pin into the pencil rubber
- Enjoy blowing your windmill!
Tip: If you want to decorate, its probably best to do so when its still flat! You can also scale these to make whatever size pin wheel you like! Try making a really really small one, then one as big as you can manage!
