You Can Change The World!

Great – You have found the Camps mission page! Not only will you find some of best bits from the missionary speakers on camp here, but you can also find out how you can get involved with live mission as well as mission resources you can use in your home town and school!

Be a missionary at school!

Use Colours to tell people about God… This fantastic colour method is really easy to use, remember and is simple enough for everyone! Using some coloured beads and thread or string you can make a braclet to help you tell others about God, or you could make a card to fit in your purse or wallet with all the information you need on! See the ‘Craft’ Page for more details on how to make your own witness wear.

What the colours mean…

  • Black: Stands for the bad things we do, called sin. See Romans 3:23
  • Red: Stands for Christ’s blood, which he shed on the cross. See John 3:16
  • Blue: Baptism. See mark 16:16
  • White: We are now forgiven and all clean again. See Psalm 51:7
  • Green: Growing with God. See 2 Peter 3:18
  • Yellow: The promise of Heaven. See John 14:2

Language Recordings UK… are part of the Global Recordings Network, and are based in Buckinghamshire (near-ish London). Kenny and Joan Mckee, who work for Language Recordings, were the missionary speakers for part of Warrior Week C this year and talked about how they use modern technology to bring the word of God to people all over the world! They have all sorts of gadgets to help bring the word of God to the people, including hand-turn record players, wind up tape players and wind up/solar power mp3 players!

So how can I get involved? Well, at school or around your town, you may know someone who doesnt speak much English, or finds it easier to talk in their own language. If you head over to the GRN website you will find free mp3 downloads (in the resorces section) with the Bible and Bible stories in a huge number of languages! Why not share them with someone you know who would really benefit from hearing the word of God!

Help with Mission!

Soon magazines go world wide, and they need some help! Many of you will know Angie Mac, who has been a Warrior leader for a number of years. She is now part of SOON ministries, who send Christian magazines out across the world for those who have become Christians as well as those who have not All their magazines have a Christian message and are used to encourage, teach and disciple all sorts of people. You can have a read online and even help them out with folding, addressing and posting the paper versions of their magazine. Head over to their website or give them a call to find out more Their website also has some cool stuff for young people – to help you and to help others!

God answers Prayer, FACT… If you have been to camp before, then you will have met a super missionary type! They need prayer, the people they have worked with need prayer, the people and places that don’t know God need prayer and organizations like WEC and CMS need prayer! You can also pray for your friends and family – weather they know Jesus or not!

You can pray short, simple prayers like ‘God, please help the people of Romania to get to know you’ or Dear God, can you help Hannah Coggins on her mission trip’ or you could have a look at some of the mission web sites and see what the prayer points are. You could even give the Camps office a call and ask what they would like prayer for! See the ‘Craft’ page for ideas to make some prayer based goodies.
